Welcome to Year 5 and 6
As the children move into KS2, our vision is to focus on the knowledge and vocabulary associated with subjects, while building on the fundamental skills needed to access the rich subjects we provide.
For those pupils who join our school during KS2, we will assess specific skills gaps which need to be addressed and filled during their Key Stage 2 experiences. These children are quickly identified and specific interventions delivered in order to ensure they can access the knowledge-based learning as quickly and efficiently as possible.
