Can you think of 3 adjectives to describe the bird?

Task 3:

Write a paragraph describing the friendship between the cloud and the bird. How do you know they are friends? What emotions do the characters show when they are around each other?

Write a section of dialogue between the two characters. Remember:

  • Inverted commas to open and close the speech
  • Capital letter at the start of speech

Maths

Year 3:

In maths this week we would like you to try using money to answer a range of calculations. Click here for the website and activities you will need.

Task 1: This is called 'Lesson 1' and is focused on converting money between pounds and pence.

Task 2: This is called 'Lesson 2', you will need to use your addition knowledge to add using money.

Task 3: This is called 'Lesson 3' and you will need to use your subtraction knowledge to subtract using money.

Task 4: This is called 'Lesson 4'. We hope you have been practising your times tables because for this you will be dividing by 3.

For each lesson there is a video to show you the method and it also gives you different examples then there is an activity for you to complete. When you have finished, check your answers using the answer booklet available.

Year 4:

In maths this week we would like you to continue learning how to multiply and divide 2-digit and 3-digit numbers by a 1-digit number. We have learnt this in class previously so try to remember the methods we have shown you. Don't worry if you're not sure though, there is a lot of help and support on the website link. Click here for the website and activities you will need.

Task 1: This is called 'Lesson 1' and is focused on multiplying a 2-digit number by a 1-digit number using place value counters and working on a formal written method.

Task 2: This is called 'Lesson 2', this is where you will now multiply a 3-digit number by a 1-digit number. Again, you will use place value counters and the formal written method.

Task 3: This is called 'Lesson 3' and for this you will divide a 2-digit number by a 1-digit number.

Watch the video for this carefully, it isn't as scary as it seems!

Task 4: This is called 'Lesson 4'. This is dividing a 3-digit number by a 1-digit number. Think carefully and use the methods you have learnt and apply it here.

For each lesson there is a video to show you the method and it also gives you different examples then there is an activity for you to complete. When you have finished, check your answers using the answer booklet available.
