Welcome to Manor Lodge Community Primary and Nursery School
At our school we strive to ensure that all pupils achieve their full potential and are fully prepared for the next phase of their education and beyond. We hope our pupils will look back on their time at Manor Lodge as a positive start to their life’s adventures.
Our families think that Manor Lodge is:
“A caring, supportive school.” “A safe place for my child to learn and to make mistakes.” “Friendly staff who take a pride in their classes.”
We believe that our inclusive ethos, inspires and challenges all of the pupils and our vision for the curriculum is:
“To inspire a love of learning soaked in memorable moments. Through a partnership of pupils; parents and staff we will provide a creative; broad and balanced curriculum. Our school will nurture a child’s social, emotional, physical and academic growth. Our ambition is to help the children achieve and to develop skills and knowledge to support our community and the world in which we live.”
We ensure that all of our pupils are both challenged and supported in order to make real progress. We take pride in encouraging all pupils to develop learning behaviours designed to help children in our community to become lifelong learners and support the community within an increasingly global environment.
We care for each and every one of our pupils. We place a huge emphasis on the pastoral care and support we offer to all children and families in our community. We recognise that education goes well beyond the academic and we are proud of our welfare; inclusion and safeguarding team who put the necessary time and resources into trying to ensure all children’s needs are met before stepping foot into the classroom each and every day. This ethos permeates through our whole school.
At Manor Lodge we aspire to create stimulating learning environments that are conducive to learning and these promote our ten key learning behaviours. Ultimately, Manor Lodge is a special place that is brought to life by your amazing children and our dedicated staff.

School Background Information
Manor Lodge Community Primary & Nursery School sits at the heart of the community on Manor Lane in the S2 area. Part of the school building has been standing for over 100 years since Victorian times. The school takes its name from the nearby, historic Tudor building Manor Lodge, where Mary Queen of Scots was famously imprisoned for a time.
Manor Lodge Community Primary & Nursery School re-opened as an academy on 1st December 2016 as part of Sheffield South East Trust, alongside four local primary schools working closely together.
The school caters fully for the needs of approximately 300 children from the age of 3 years to 11 years.
We operate a one and a half form entry (45 pupils per year group), from Foundation Stage, through Key Stages One and Two.
